This is a tricky one. Some books really do not age well in terms of attitudes, etc. I'm not very fond of the idea of cleaning them up, though. Personally, I'm a great believer in annotated books. Leave the original text as it is, warts and all, and add explanatory notes to the things that might now seem jarring and hard to understand. It can be a great conversation starter about things that need to be discussed.
Just like Jodi says in the clip, changing the original text can be a bit tricky. It is, in effect, a way of changing history, and there are many risks ahead if we choose that slippery slope.
